The first day is always the hardest with any project or idea. Getting started and convincing yourself to do it when your suffering motivational issues is always a pain. But I did it.This letter opener is made from a old rail road spike. I twisted the handle after chiseling some lines in it which then cracked. I didn't mean to do that but felt it was ok, since it gave the piece a sense of age.
While I call it a letter opener it is actually quite strong and quite sharp.
