Day 15 - Trellis

I was asked by several people to make a trellis.  If I do it again I might make it a little lighter (using 1/4" for some of it) but it came out better than I expected.

Day 14 - Coat Rack

So I was asked twice over the weekend about 'fleur de lis'.  I have done a few in the past but wanted to up the details.  So I did and then I made it into a coat rack.

Day 13 - Utensil Rack

So this was a good idea that didn't work.  I started wanting to make something that hung from a bracket on a wall.  It was gonna be simple, except I wanted to do something cool. That's where it failed.  So I left it.  Today I tried to save it, after a while it decided it couldn't be saved and cut it apart and made it a wall hanging piece.

Day 12 - Hanging Basket

Before I was a Blacksmith (way back in 1999) I made Chainmail. I made Jewelery and "fashion" clothing.  I have tried to make a few different things with it and thought I could make a basket.  I'm not happy with it and hope to figure out how to do it and do it right.

Day 11 - Garden Stake

Well it seems I'm on a two day theme, a Garden stake.  Just the one today, I planned on a second one but needed to be at a meeting and lost motivation afterwards.  The inspiration came from an image Crimson Rose sent me of a gate in Venice. It was just a little detail on the gate but I wanted to reproduce it so did.

Day 10 - Garden tools

This was another tight deadline day.  I'm trying to get a lot done in a little time, however I still wanted to make something interesting.  These three garden tools were all shaped from a piece of 1/2" x 1" x about 8" pieces, no welding, or rivets.

Day 9 - Bottle openers

I have a few jobs that are already paid for which are distracting me from my great works.  Last night (day 9) I was fiddling with one of those jobs and att 5:30 I realized if I didn't get started on something I was gonna be in trouble.  So I thought about it and decided to try some design ideas for some Bottle openers.  They work ok, I think I'll try and spend some time tweaking them over the next week or so, which will require me to buy beers to open and I don't want to waste the beer.

Day 8 - Trivets

Trivets, I wanted to do something a little simpler to give me some time to catch up... and then I decided to do 2.

Day 7 - Candle stick holders

Candle sticks, The larger one was intended, the smaller one was a mistake that I went with. 

Day 6 - Boxes

Boxes,
I didn't finish these both on Day 6.  The one with the rivets was a 'hmmm, can I do it' idea that I started a little later in the day, and once I figured it out loved.  Finished the clean up and putting it together today (10/18).  I'm very happy with it. That of course put me behind today and as such will not finish Day 7 till tomorrow.  Hope you like them.
